Chemical Engineering International Symposium

The Chemical Engineering International Symposium (ChEIS) was a series of academic events organized every two years by the Chemical Engineering Faculty at Instituto Tecnológico de Durango in order to provide students and professionals with lectures and courses given by international speakers in different areas of Chemical Engineering.

History of ChEIS

2007

The Chemical Engineering International Symposium 2007 (ChEIS 2007) happened on October 22-26, 2007, with the tagline “A Global Challenge”. This event focused on the future challenges caused by climate change and the use of fossil fuels. In this event, there were 5 conferencess and 4 courses. There were also technical sessions comprising 35 research oral presentations. The Chairman of ChEIS 2007 was Dr. Carlos Francisco Cruz Fierro.

Chemical Engineering International Symposium 2005

The Chemical Engineering International Symposium 2005 (ChEIS 2005) happened on October 24-27, 2005, with the tagline “Crossing Borders”. This event focused on ITD alumni that currently reside abroad. There was also a poster session for research work. The Chairman of ChEIS 2005 was Dr. Sergio Valle Cervantes.

Chemical Engineering International Symposium 2003

The Chemical Engineering International Symposium 2003 (ChEIS 2003) happened on October 20-24, 2003, with the tagline “Moving Towards the First World”. There was a poster session for research work. The Chairman of ChEIS 2003 was Dr. Joaquín Pinto Espinoza.
